A matter of general interest!

By Stanley Collymore

We can’t keep on meeting like this you know, otherwise we’ll
have people chatting about us for sure. Three times this
very week we’ve unexpectedly bumped into each
other as we respectively made our way, as
it happened, to catch the same bus.
Only coincidence of course! But I’ve lived in these parts
for many years and apart from being absolutely sure
that I’ve never met or even seen you before now
suddenly, and do pardon the exaggeration as
it’s manifestly my own personal opinion,
we evidently appear destined to keep
running into one another and most
luckily so, over and over again!

So to circumvent this current impasse of
us not knowing specifically who we
are, and also from my interested
observation us, with any luck,
being not solely chance strangers
but equivalently, at least, great
friends, can we accordingly
galvanize that custom by
us exchanging names?

Author’s Remarks:
Chat-up lines can be and invariably are crass, pompous and nonsensical egotistical statements that anyone with a grain of common-sense will quickly and easily detect is the case.

So the most effective way to achieve your personal ambition in this regard is to make yours honest, uncomplicated and very much to the point.

Season’s greetings everyone and a Happy New Year in 2020.
