Adagio for Strings (Samuel Barber)

  1. On an absolutely depressing, foggy and a bitterly freezing day and with visibility only a few yards ahead of one’s self in any direction that you look, unless you actually happen to be sensibly indoors and then not bothering to glance outside, here are three of my favourite pieces of classical music: Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber; Pachelbel – Canon in D Major; and Air by Johann Sebastian Bach to hopefully take your mind, if only temporarily, off the weather, and inspire you to get through the day.
