Bollocks to you David Cameron, Obama and Co., the sane among us aren’t fooled!

By Stanley Collymore

So David Cameron’s Con-Dem government wants to protect us from the evils of the internet and is trying its very best to disingenuously convince us that this is the case, an exercise that’s altruistically embarked on of course. And the dishonest and propagandistic political message that these irredeemable conmen and women are concertedly peddling through their compliant corporate media outlets and with the full cooperation of their obsequious rent-a-mouth TV and radio analysts is that there’s a substantial and extremely unscrupulous number of malicious and wicked individuals out here in our communities either solitary or in concert with likeminded persons working assiduously to improperly blacken or even destroy the wholesome characters through instances of slander, libel malevolent inferences or acts of pernicious trolling, whether of a personal or professional nature, of people who’re innocently and ineffectively at a serious disadvantage from all this and attributively from persons whom they have no other recourse to act against in the existing set of circumstances except through the very expensive and unwieldy process of court action that in turn can and does serve as an enormous deterrent to them readily doing so.

It’s an absolute and deliberate lie of course; and anyway who is it that’s entirely responsible for framing and enacting the legislation of laws pertaining to libel and slander that are geared very much in favour of the rich, powerful and influential and decidedly against the ordinary man and woman on the street who is quite accustomed to being bludgeoned in this manner by these same types of hoodlums in conjunction with their mafia corporate media that is ever so willing to serve their interests, leaving the Joe and Jane Public of this world with no alternative open to them other than to take this abuse and character assai nation gratuitously dished out to them on the chin, knowing perfectly well that there’s absolutely nothing else that he or she can logically do about it.

And even if later these wilful lies are eventually exposed for what they really are and apologies or corrections are made in relation to them, the truth is that they’re never given the prominence or banner headlines initially accorded to the lie and anyway the consequences that stem from these calculated fabrications always as it happens turn out to be irreparable and worthless in the circumstances, not least because the collective memory of the general public is typically fickle and short-lived at best so that what it’s told initially in such emphatic terms usually sticks and becomes permanently embedded in the minds of those who’ve been indoctrinated with it as the authentic narrative to be followed and invariably the one that they must believe as well.

But where does the truth as apart from the well-rehearsed and slick public relations propaganda fed through the media, parliament and the other establishment institutions to a pre-conditioned and in many instances also a totally ignorant, utterly credulous or poorly informed public lay? Not you can be sure of it in the monumental crap that those with an invidious, self-serving and undisclosed agenda of their own and conjoined with an apt user friendly narrative purely for public consumption and expressly designed to selfishly advance these warped objectives would have the rest of us believe is actually the case.

There’s a bit of malice and perhaps even a touch of evil in all of us human beings considering by and large the imperfect species that we are; but in 2012 ordinary folk even in a significantly computer-literate age have far better things in austerity driven and socially inequitable Britain to do with their lives, including simply surviving for example, than to spend their valuable time and constructive energy premeditatedly fabricating damaging stories or nefariously fashioning injurious libels or slander at will, or simply out of sheer perversity engaging themselves in the rather questionable pastime of dispensing ostensibly hateful diatribes or malicious innuendoes or gossip against people that even if they’ve heard about them in some circuitous way or other have certainly never met and manifestly don’t know them at all.

Yes there are nerds about and aplenty so; the X-Factor groupies I call them, who consistently live their lives, if you can logically call these fatuous non-existences of theirs such, through the puerile antics of others that in their blinkered eyes pass for celebrities, and when these fawning dumbos periodically get upset by the actions or otherwise of these pampered, publicity-seeking morons they adulate and consequently can and invariably do respond like the everlasting brain-dead and highly juvenile cretins they themselves effectively are, persons given to impulsively letting of steam without thinking of the consequences as in reality they haven’t the wherewithal with which to think rationally if think at all, they can and do often become vituperatively and mordantly abusive.

Then there are their football equivalents that rather brainlessly are entirely incapable of making the crucial distinction between what’s undoubtedly a sport which they’ve every right to follow, support, enjoy or even feel passionately about and the incongruity of insanely using it and the sporting celebrities that it sporadically throws up to fill a gaping void in lives that are otherwise essentially unproductive, bereft of meaning and even thoroughly useless. And because of this no one with a functioning brain cell in his or her head is the least astonished when such people go off the deep end and violently or abusively verbally let rip online to assuage their intensive or even immense frustrations. But these are actions that can quite properly and effectively be dealt with within the framework of our domestic laws as they stand and certainly don’t need the sledgehammer of internet vandalism by a conservative led government of all things with its documented historical and criminal propensities masked as humanitarian gestures and civilized necessities to crack this wearisome nut.

So David Cameron’s Con-Dem regime of privileged, hopelessly out of touch with the common man or woman on the street; a posh pricks or twats, feel free to take your pick, Cabal of largely hand me down, inherited millionaires phenomenally adept at forcing austerity measures down the throats of hardworking, taxpaying Brits while they shamelessly salt their ill-gotten gains in tax havens overseas and employ unscrupulous lawyers and accountants to ensure that they and their similarly well-heeled friends pay the minimum amount of tax possible if any at all, don’t need to postulate that additional or even more draconian legislation is urgently required to deal with what’s basically a minor problem if that was their real motivation which it clearly isn’t.

Consequently, what we’re being presented with by these Tory thugs, their Lib-Dem sycophants intoxicated with unanticipated power after aeons of oblivion in the political wilderness and the class indoctrinated, parliamentary Labour Party assholes who’re even worse one must forlornly confess than their Tory counterparts and will cheerfully and pusillanimously jump aboard this particular Tory bandwagon and wholeheartedly support this proposed legislation, is at its very best dishonest and at its worst characteristic rightwing, crypto-fascist, Nazi crap that the Tories and their ilk are exceedingly good at engaging in.

That said one must give credit where credit is due as the Tories don’t disappoint by pretending they’re other than the loathsome bunch of bastards they’ll always be; with Labour though and particularly the parliamentary Labour party of MPs the only relative consistency with that lot is the name Labour, and after the regrettable stewardship of the party by war its criminals Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, Peter Mandleson and David Miliband among others of that ilk it’ll be a brave man or woman indeed who could courageously put his or her head above the parapet and honestly say there’s such a thing as the British Labour Party let alone one that truly empathizes with the ideals of those who founded it and the aspirations of the men and women that still call themselves Labour.

And the rather sickening thing about all this is that those endeavouring to frame these new and invasive laws expressly designed to curtail our freedom of expression and particularly so in a country where successive regimes of every political persuasion have persistently over the years resolutely refused to consider let alone implement a written British Constitution that expressly delineates what our inalienable rights as well as our specific obligations to each other and the country we belong to are, as equal citizens of the United Kingdom and not as serfs or subjects of some hereditary monarch that we have no choice but to accept  because our opinions simply don’t count and the powers that be don’t deem it fit to ask us what they are, are the very ones who’re the most culpable offenders when it comes to breaking domestic and international laws, damaging dishonestly the reputations of those they not only capriciously opt to take a dislike to but also criminally choosing to murder in countries we’re not officially at war with and whose governments and citizens pose no threat whatsoever to us individually or as a nation.

Like what you’re now doing in Syria and earlier and most effectively so in Libya as well David Cameron. Libya a country that after your aggressively assisted self-styled freeing of it from the stated clutches of Colonel Gaddafi is now completely in tatters, where massacres are so routine that embarrassedly the western media that was your and the rest of NATO’s cheerleaders don’t report on any situation in Libya any more, and where the one growth industry in that country is terrorism and the export of it currently with the consent of yourself and the rest of your western allies to Syria where British Special Forces and UK trained, funded and supported death squads are illicitly and murderously operating in a sovereign independent state against all international norms, laws and conventions so as to satisfy your subservience to the Israeli and global Zionist desire for unlawful regime change in that country.

And additional to the deadly role you’re playing in Afghanistan both for the Afghans as well as our own troops there you’re also actively aiding the barbaric despots in Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Bantu-Saudi among others in this premier Arab league against their own people striving to accomplish the democratic goals you lyingly claim you’re in favour of universally and want to see in Syria; if so why not the aforementioned Bantustans I’ve mentioned as well? But clearly such rhetoric by you David is only applicable when the skin colour of those that are petitioning for such fundamental human rights exclusively matches that of your own as your statements on multiculturalism in Europe generally and the UK especially, coded euphemisms like that which you engineered for Michael Howard in his vain attempt to become Prime Minister of Britain; remember the one publicly incorporated in Tory TV and other media ads  and well as blazoned across Conservative campaign posters: Are you thinking what we’re thinking? Views that now as then reiterate your public aversion to and private racist hatred as regards having Blacks or as your lot sees them Niggers in you midst. Succour to the bullying thugs like those in the BNP and EDL that you’ve never condemned, and why should you since like Adolf Hitler’s brown shirts they are your recruiting sergeants, mirror your views and in your tacit support for them you simultaneously make racism in Britain and wider Europe respectable.

Then there’s the Iraq debacle and the little matter of the soon to be mass murderer Tony Blair economical with the truth as usual resulting in the deaths of 1.5 million Iraqi civilians and the wholesale destruction of another non-white country; an imperialist and colonialist adventure in the classic white European sense that you David Cameron along with the rest of your Tory lot and the entire House of Commons wannabe Memsahibs and Bwanas enthusiastically signed up to so you could ravage Iraq of its oil and gas reserves and at the same time get your perverted kicks at seeing the superior white man literally knock the shits out of a bunch of desert bozos, never mind that Iraq enjoyed a civilization millennia before England or Britain still physically joined at the hips to ice ravaged Europe even existed as a separate entity. But why allow facts to get in the way of old fashioned racism, eh David?

So someone among Joe or Jane Public, going back to the thrust of your proposed legislative curbs on the internet David, decides for reasons known only to themselves to take a verbal pot shot at some run of the mill, publicity junkie and so-called celebrity, politician or their intimate associates. So what? These people aren’t indisposed to dishing out this kind of vitriolic abuse themselves against those that they look down on or even detest when it suits their purposes and when that happens it’s usually treated as something to have a good laugh about. Remember the distasteful and criminal remarks of Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear that everyone from you to the BBC, which refused to fire him and made pathetic excuses for him, and loads of other post gits in between together with their mindless supporters thought funny but would have taken a very different attitude if those words were spoken by a Black, Asian, other non-white person or even a member of the white working class and were specifically targeted at the upper crust?

And answer me truthfully David, if you’ve any semblance of what the truth is, which is worse, laying into the likes of Louise Mensch a fellow conservative and colleague of yours, justifiably so in my view, or having individuals like her using their position as an MP to foment illegal regime change wars in other people’s countries, activities that result in the senseless massacres, mass murders and heinous crimes against humanity of scores of thousands of innocent civilians in developing countries never white Caucasian ones we can be sure, as we witnessed in Iraq with in excess of 1.5 million Iraqi civilians killed and collectively another 10 million internally and externally even to this present day, 13 June 2012, displaced as refugees and all on a bloody evil, calculated and pernicious lie by a white, Caucasian British, universally condemned among the world’s majority populations and even a substantial number of people within Britain itself war criminal British Prime Minister and a grotesquely sick cheerleading UK parliament. Never mind that a large section of the British public was against this UK and United States contrived and Zionist sponsored war whose principal beneficiaries of it are the multinational oil and gas corporations, a grasping, innately crooked and criminal Wall Street and the many financial and banking services that feed off it and sure enough the military industrial complex, with the usual kickbacks for services rendered to corrupt politicians involved on both sides of the Atlantic.

And I know from sources that Louise Mensch is every bit as enthusiastic about regime change in Syria as she was for it in Iraq mouthing the usual dishonest platitudes of which we’re all too familiar with and that come instinctively without any rational arguments to back these up from the likes of her while doggedly remaining both mute and deaf to the real concerns of the people of Bahrain, Yemen, Jordan, Morocco, Egypt and Bantu-Saudi among a list of others valiantly striving for despite UK, US and other western backed brutality, torture, beatings, incarceration and murder of genuinely peaceful protestors by their regime leaders against them for daring to request what the posh like David Cameron and privileged parliamentarians like Louise Mensch automatically take for granted.

But when all is said and done it must be remembered that these people aren’t white Caucasian and there in the mindset of individuals like David Cameron and Louise Mensch don’t belong to the perceived white Master Race that Louise Mensch (German isn’t it?) and her sort consider themselves to be an essential part of; so to them such people are trash and totally unfit to be called human beings and therefore the white Nazi, Master Race perception firmly held by these flowers of the human race trumps everything else enabling these prized specimens of humanity to do whatever they like with this unquestionably perceived in their warped minds detritus of human kind, in the full knowledge that they can rely on their race and skin colour to accord them as per normal the immunity they routinely count on and expectedly get from ever being persecuted or even made to be held responsible for their actions by the judicial arm of similarly likeminded scumbags that not only protect them but also proactively act on their behalf as and whenever necessary to do so.

I personally wouldn’t sully my conscience, which means a great deal to me and that I treat with the utmost respect, nor tarnish my hands with the blood of Louise Mensch or any other creature remotely like her for that would be analogous in my case to nonsensically climbing down into a putrid sewer of the most unpleasant kind to dispose of a verminous cockroach or two among the myriads of them that live and thrive there as to be blunt with you I don’t do sewers; even so I can well understand why there are those who’d want to fumigate and effectively eradicate the cockroaches of both houses of Britain’s parliament and frankly I admire their balls and reasons for wishing to do so.

Now I’m fully cognisant that such outspoken remarks by me will undoubtedly draw the fury of the ludicrously self-styled honourable members of the House of Commons where probity is in very short supply, almost to the point of being non-existent one can honest say, except in the case of three MPs that beyond doubt are worthy of that description all of them backbenchers for understandable reasons and quite evidently not on the take nor with their greedy snouts in the trough of public largesse unintentionally funded by the hard-pressed and austerity inflicted British taxpayers, criticisms that can equally and justifiably so be levelled at their lordships and ladyships in the upper house; but I don’t give a toss about their response or what they actually think about me as I’ve always spoken my mind on matters of importance to me and the society I live in, and shan’t in any way whatever the consequences are allow myself ever to be deterred from doing so.

For what’s being said needs to be said, and if it should turn out that I’m the only one in Britain with the guts not only to stand up and publicly say what needs to be said but also unyieldingly expose the lies, half truths, utter fabrications, sanctimonious cant and the perniciously inspired and hidden agenda of David Cameron and his legion of arrogant, egotistical cohorts in relation to the restrictions that they propose to impose on my freedom of expression on the internet or society generally for that matter, never mind yours as you’ll have to fight your own battles and frankly it’s high time that you got off your sedentary asses and did so, and resolutely challenge these infractions by every means at my disposal then so be it.

Scare tactics in the same way as attempts to emotionally blackmail or pressurize me into doing something that someone selfishly and unilaterally wants done regardless of what my concerns are on the matter as these weren’t canvassed nor would they have been taken into consideration routinely fall foul with me and always fail. Furthermore nothing or any living thing apart from myself scares me, and as for God he quit trying to condition how I think a long time ago with the two of us affably settling on a mutually compatible arrangement between us where he does his thing and I do mine and it works brilliantly. So neither you David Cameron, your corporate hoodlums, pusillanimous judiciary, fellow venal MPs nor anyone else for that matter who cares to jump on this iniquitous bandwagon that you’re fronting but clearly aren’t the brains behind, the latter evidently belongs to those lurking in the murky shadows that are pulling your chain, can ever hope to succeed with me in the way you’re going about it, and in these circumstances I shall basically ignore your puerile shenanigans and those of a rubber stamping parliament and carry on as I’ve always done. Don’t say you haven’t been warned!

I’ve been very fortunate indeed to have had throughout the formative years of my upbringing and well beyond some extraordinarily sagacious, tremendously informative, highly imaginative and essentially influential persons in my life that ranged from my parents, other close relatives and personal friends to my teachers, both at my primary and afterwards my secondary grammar school, the closely knit members of my church congregation, most notably my Anglican priest who knew me from babyhood and spiritually encouraged and was always there for me in my role as an altar server, church choir member and later in my adolescence as a Sunday School teacher, and who even now in his nineties is still going strong, remains naturally physically fit, unencumberingly mobile, entirely compos mentis, still travels widely as he’s always done, gets more dynamic as the years go by, and evidently takes a huge delight in chauffeuring me around the nostalgic places of my youth whenever in my rather busy work schedule I still manage to find the time to visit him and the cradle of my youthful and rather rewarding upbringing.

Is the consummate host that energetically inspires me spiritually as well as secularly, especially in political matters of which taking into consideration his longevity, wide-ranging experiences, social and political activism both as a Church of England priest and social reformer advocate and his undoubted genius he’s extremely well qualified to do, and with whom not unnaturally and quite fortunately I’m absolutely delighted to say I have an unqualified respect and constant admiration for as well as an abiding loyalty along with an unbroken and empathetic bond that not only stretches over several delightful decades of our friendship with each other but has also unshakably and immeasurably strengthened during that time.

Regrettably for me some of these people, all mentors of mine in one way or another, aren’t any longer in this world even though I know that if they were still physically around to do so they would gently chide me for entertaining the thought of what I see as the sad and terrible loss of them not being here, as all of these people were hugely but pragmatically religious individuals who believed in the sanctity of our earthy life and genuinely felt that we should honestly do our very best at all times to respect this as well as make the most of life itself while we’re here, but at the same time saw our earthly existence as a transient one, a transit station as it were on the way to what they earnestly believed was a much better and more rewarding life after death.

Convinced too that whether one succeeded in or missed out at accomplishing this assignment in life as they saw it depended solely on how they conducted their own life on earth and was a principal reason why God endowed each and everyone of us with our won individual brain to enable us to think for ourselves, doing so in concert with a conscience which we also have to assist us in determining for ourselves what’s right or wrong and furthermore how we deal with either when confronted with it, and most crucially what our response will be in the aftermath of that decision to the consequences that stem from it. Choices and consequences that are wholly our own regardless of whatever slant we might truthfully, conveniently or even dishonestly try to put on them and for which, whether we’re disposed to doing so or not, we’ll have to take full responsibility for eventually, if not in this life then undoubtedly in the next.

It’s why I’ve always scrupulously embarked on the moral precepts I was brought up with as a child and that throughout my life have persistently and prominently but objectively featured in everything I do; and this applies particularly to situations or people whom I feel I must either adversely or critically comment upon. For not once in my life have I irresponsibly lashed out or will I ever do so at someone or something simply out of revenge or because in behaving thus I hope to derive what in my honest view would be a puerile feeling of satisfaction from having acted in that way, far less demean my personal integrity or abuse my conscience by spitefully fabricating stories about persons or situations in order to push or advance some hidden agenda or other of my own, crave the limelight, or God forbid seek to make a name for myself.

To start with I’m an open book when it comes to the things that I passionately believe in or else utterly detest and the red lines that I wilfully draw in my personal sand are unmistakably clear, unambiguously delineated, perspicuous in the extreme and avowedly transparent for those with eyes and the mental capacity and perspicacity to distinguish this trend to unequivocally become fully knowledgeable of this fact; so I don’t gratify myself or will I ever do so by engineering in anyway hidden agendas that I don’t need to have since I don’t give a damn about what anyone outside of those who’re emotionally close to me or persons whose judgement or opinions I rate immensely think of or say about me, and that’s a situation that isn’t about to change voluntarily on my part or coercively through the actions or responses of others David Cameron and Co. So if what I write makes anyone ill at ease and the proverbial cap fits then they know what to do; and if that too creates a problem for them that’s just tough and their funeral not mine.

Tell it like it is has always been my resolute approach not only to journalism but also to every characteristic of my professional and private lives and the greater the transgression by someone or the injustice committed by them and either exposed by me or revealed in the public domain and categorically proven to be true the more caustic my condemnation of it will be. As a highly motivated, assured and academically committed student fortunate as were my peers throughout our time at the 18th Century established, prestigious and co-educational grammar school we all attended to have been allocated to classes that weren’t any greater than 14 in number; taught by specialist teachers who knew their subjects really well and were wholeheartedly devoted to our collective and individual academic excellence, I was likewise blessed by having as my English and Latin Master a man of enormous ability, immeasurable intellectual vigour, absolute probity and a remarkable skill at communicating with others.

Was a calm and attentive listener as well as a practised problem solver whose authoritative and dignified manner inspired and sustained a substantial belief in one’s self and capabilities; was a stickler for punctuality, reliability and civilized norms of behaviour; had an infinite love for his job; was enormously respected and deeply admired not only at our school but also in the wider community which we came from, and being the iconic but unassuming figure he was inevitably turned into the inspirational cultural guru and academic mentor to many of his charges, myself included, and someone to whom I shall forever be indebted. For profoundly conscious from the very outset of my huge interest in and immense love for English as he knew me from babyhood and was a contemporary of my parents as well as a particularly close friend of several principal members of my extended family, this colossus of a man and a unique human being to whom a vital part of my cultural, social and academic education was happily and auspiciously entrusted actively encouraged, sharpened and consolidated this passion of mine through his compellingly persuasive arguments, an altruistic devotion to me, and of course his inimitable expertise which was refreshingly uncomplicated, impeccably honest, always to the point, enliveningly amusing in its discourse and delivery, and in the consensual opinion then of all those who studied under him and still judged so several years later into our respective adulthood was second to none.

His name is Kenneth G. Doughlin and he personified in the most complete sense of its meaning the founding Latin motto of our school which is “Aliis Non Sibi”, whose English translation is “For others not ourselves”; a motto which in every respect not only proudly characterized the philosophy of our school but was also one that every pupil who was privileged to attend it was ardently encouraged to live by.

Armed with such moral fortitude it was a foregone conclusion therefore that those of us who were so assiduously exposed to these finer aspects of human nature would always in one way or another physically translate them into our daily lives, and consequently accounts for why it is that I shall always be on the side of the oppressed and voiceless with a personal and resolute assurance to fearlessly exposing and confronting injustice of any kind whenever and wherever I find it or whatever source, no matter how powerful or influential that might be, from which it stems. An unconditional commitment that buoyed by Mr Doughlin’s appreciative guidance has enabled me to fashion my own personal Latin motto that I determinedly stand by and which is: “Oderint dum metuant!” and whose literal meaning is, “Let them hate provided they fear!”

Likewise Mr Doughlin taught me that while an enlightened man will always seek to understand and possibly inculcate the truth of what at the very outset he didn’t grasp the ignoramus on the other hand promptly dismisses everything he’s unfamiliar with or that doesn’t tie in with his or her prejudices or utter stupidity; an acknowledgement that fits suitably and logically with the Zimbabwean proverb: “nhaka yemapenzi inodyiwa nevakangwara” (fools and their birthrite are soon parted) that I would later become familiar with and made the conscious decision to incorporate into my arsenal of persuasive arguments to deploy as and when apposite in my dealings with my fellow man.

However the maxim to be constantly true to one’s self has always from my childhood been a cardinal principal in my life and one I shan’t ever stray from, and like those who earnestly hold the belief and say that if God is for you what does it matter who’s against you my challenge to the world is this, as long as my conscience is clear it’s an irrelevance of the highest order what my critics may adversely think, say about or endeavour to do in relation to myself, as frankly I don’t give a damn. And were they to sensibly acknowledge this and start behaving like rational human beings if indeed they’re ever capable of acting as such would, in my opinion, save a lot of wasted energy on their part, since gratuitous criticism of me is basically like water falling of a duck’s back; that said; that said and the democrat that I am such persons are perfectly entitled to be fools if they want to be.

It was inevitable that like Mr Doughlin’s my life notwithstanding an intense willingness by me to explore other professions and garner experiences from them and other ways of life, which I cheerfully did, would substantially be an academic one with English in its multifaceted forms a prominent part of that decision; one that in combination with those practical and psychological teaching applications I’d devised on my own incorporated also much of what I’d acquired from Mr Doughlin and that throughout my academic career has stood me in good stead. And among the several important things that Mr Doughlin taught me and which still greatly influence my life four of them continue to be firm favourites of mine.

Maximize your vocabulary Mr Doughlin always told me and never use the same adjective or adverb more than once in any piece of work unless it’s a totally unavoidable; be descriptive, clear, informative and interesting in what you write or say so that if someone a thousand years later were to come across your writing he or she wouldn’t have any difficulty at all reliving the situations that you described as if they were themselves contemporaneously present when these occurred; and knowing of my keen interest in journalism even at that tender age I was advised to always do my own research, factually check out all information either given to me or which came to hand from other sources, and once convinced of the veracity of this and the rightness of what I was doing to publish and be damned. Finally he counselled me that there was no such things as good or bad English, just English that was either appropriate or inappropriate.

A warm, evocative and instinctive smile always explodes and radiates liberally across my face just as the evident humour but undoubted seriousness of the exposition of what they’re told has never been lost on my students whenever a recollection of Mr Doughlin’s celebrated remark is either personally remembered or else employed by me as a teaching incentive. No good or bad English just an apt or inapt form of the language? How come? Mr Doughlin’s exposition of his remark was typically humorous as it was elucidatory.

You wouldn’t he said stand up at a party given in honour of your parents’ wedding anniversary or at the reception celebrating your sister’s nuptials and in ether or both of these cases entertain the assembled guests with a ribald commentary on those whom you’re supposedly revering and punctuated by choice four letter words would you, he asked rhetorically. Neither would you if you were engaged in a spot of Do It Yourself (DIY) he propositioned, and unfortunately in the process missed the nail you were meant to be hammering into the plank of wood which you’re securing and instead brought the hammer forcibly and painfully down on your fingers react by civilly saying, “Oh dear me what a silly thing I’ve done!” In both these instances Mr Doughlin emphasized the words used were inappropriate to as well as futile as regards the circumstances in which they were utilized.

As I’d expected of him Mr Doughlin had consummately made his point which I instantly and completely accepted with no supplementary explanation required then or subsequently, except to fully acknowledge that this truism of his inevitably became the benchmark of all my writing and will remain so, employing the English language imaginatively, descriptively and succinctly as and when required to its full effect while conscientiously eschewing the pitfalls and bogus blandishments of rank mediocrity, of which there’s plenty of it about, openly masquerading itself as creative genius.

But in the UK it isn’t only in the literary field that those who’re committed to excellence must unhappily witness the disquieting, illogical and persistent trend of the recurrent dumbing down of ability only to have it absurdly replaced by a mindless and enfeebling mediocrity which then becomes the yardstick that everyone, whether they want to or not, must unquestioningly settle for. The British educational system has suffered massively because of this and in tandem with the pernicious and commonplace culture of enforced homogeneity cultivated in its Petri-dish of political correctness and that viral-like has been let loose on the rest of us, dictates that no pupil should fail; that selection instituted on competition and natural ability is not only immoral and physically disruptive to developing minds but emotionally divisive and damaging too, as is the entire notion of success based principally on meritocracy and the traditional work ethic that are themselves also antagonistically seen and attacked as passé.

Politicians, bankers and the corporate media are likewise in the forefront of this reprehensible mindset with its in-built criminal dimensions of dishonesty, corruption, wanting something for doing absolutely nothing; venal nature, not accepting responsibility for one’s transgressions but instead always willing to falsely accuse others for the undeniable blameworthiness of those that are casting the stones of accusation at while laying the groundwork for the castigation of those they maliciously and intentionally decided to vilify, just as they industriously create the culture of persecution where the innocent are the ones burdensomely placed under suspicion, unjustly have even the most private details of their personal lives routinely and rigorously subjected to the most invidious scrutiny by the guilty ones who unsurprisingly exempt themselves from this and all speciously done under the pretext of national security and the protection of the ordinary citizen when it’s nothing of the sort but has everything to do with an irrational fixation to wield power in all of its forms and exert unchallenged control over other peoples’ lives.

Without doubt these are the concerted actions of psychologically unbalanced, extremely selfish and therefore highly dangerous persons with just a nodding and involuntary acquaintanceship with adulthood solely because of the progression from infancy to physical maturity if one lives long enough that Mother Nature predestines for those of us who’re lucky enough to get that far, but who in essence are nothing more than puerile and self-centred individuals with the mindset and savage propensity of feral kids permanently trapped in the bodies of immature adults and with no discernible recognition whatever of what’s actually right or wrong or any conceivable possibility of ever of rectifying this gross inadequacy.

How else could western governments, including our own British one, while publicly and self-righteously espousing the cardinal principles of democracy and human rights for all never the less unlawfully invade, occupy and with total impunity horrendously massacre the citizens of sovereign independent countries that posed no threat to them simply to impose their hegemonic domination over them and plunger their natural resources; then buoyed up the easy success of these murderous ventures of theirs equally illegally and just as cruelly embark on brutal regime change in others for identical reasons? But for all that and notwithstanding their unquestionable criminal actions miserably fail to grasp the implausibility and moral dishonesty of them never the less sequestering the moral high ground, liberally passing themselves off as the epitome of rectitude and cloaking themselves piously in the vestments of 21st century paragons of virtue.

How dare the BBC with a well documented history, long established and unenviable record of fabricating and falsifying news stories, making the news rather than reporting it in other words, use our licence fee that we Brits on pain of prosecution, conviction and imprisonment should any of us take the moral position and refuse because of the BBC’s unprofessional and criminal conduct to pay it, to promote the Zionist agenda of settler, apartheid Israel, that of the US and European neo-cons and additionally act as the exuberant cheerleader of the United States, UK and NATO’s imperialist and white supremacist wars conducted incessantly in the global south, and in these roles behaving with the kind of reckless arrogance and premeditated dishonesty as was recently, unmistakably and notoriously exposed in just one of it many exemplification?

This was when it knowingly, wilfully and fraudulently took Marco Di Lauro’s photos of serial rows of pre-internment bodies from the Iraq War, publicized them with the explicit suggesting narrative in its news bulletins and on the internet that these were the corpses of innocent Syrian civilians massacred in their droves in Houla, Syria by an alleged out of control and murderous Syrian regime. This despite the fact that the BB knew full well where these photos originated from, that they had absolutely nothing to do with Syria let alone Houla and being the toadying mouthpiece of the British government, our elite establishments and like the rest of the British and western corporate media plays a similar role for the evil axis of Euro-Israeli-Transatlantic neo-con Zionism was party to and consequently well aware that the Houla massacre was a co-ordinated US, UK and France enterprise that was implemented by foreign death squads trained by these three aforesaid countries and placed on the payroll of Bantu-Saudi, Qatar and Kuwait.

The principal objectives being to destabilize Syria, terrorize its citizens into turning against the Assad government thus further facilitating that goal, and using the propaganda of contemptible  media like the BBC, Sky, CNN, Fox, France 24, al-Jazeera and the rest of them to publicly and dishonestly vilify the Syrian government for acts of atrocities it had nothing to do with in order as we witnessed in the run up to the second Iraq war soften up and dupe western public opinion into believing that the Bashar al-Assad government was an odious monster that had lost all its credibility to run Syria and rule the Syrian people and must therefore be removed at all cost and by any means possible, conveniently omitting to say that the true agenda all along of those wanting to get rid of Bashar al-Assad who unwaveringly refuses to become a compliant puppet of the west as virtually every other western imposed ruler in the Arab world is, is to pave the way for illegal regime change in Syria that the west and Israel for hegemonic and geo-political reasons have wanted all along. So the BBC being the consummate liar which it is was up to its usual dirty tricks once more.

Reality or commonsense for that matter clearly don’t feature in any analysis by the BBC which in what passes for such is always propagandistic, subjective and warmongering, and were this sick, decrepit and past its sell by date thoroughly has-been with the morals of a fetid septic tank and the imagination of a lavatory brush to take even the most hurried look at itself in the mirror it would quickly see with striking clarity what a loathsome corporate creature it really is that in fairness to us licence fee payers and in charitable humanity to itself and those that work for it is only fit for one thing, the knackers’ yard; but survives this ignominy because it acts as a useful tool for whichever British government is happens to be in power at the time.

Meanwhile the banks having hit on the opportune and highly profitable wheeze that they’re too big and important to fail and that they’ve since ruthlessly and relentlessly pushed to convince a financially distressed public while collaboratively co-opting our corrupt, venal government and MPs to ably assist their criminal enterprise, jointly with their legislative bedfellows heartlessly continue to take us to the cleaners knowing as they do so that there’s absolutely nothing we can do about it since the financial, political and even the judicial cards, as nobody that can it seems would ever consider let alone try to prosecute them for their criminality, are all stacked in their favour. And while austerity measures engineered by the reckless irresponsibility and criminal conduct of these bankers bite harshly forcing the hapless victims that had absolutely nothing to do with the dire circumstances they’re now ominously faced with and acutely affect their lives, the bankers using our government as a willing soft touch and handy cash machine increasingly demand more and more expensive bailouts that they quickly get without having to furnish any obligation or give specific assurances they’ll change their ways and start behaving responsibly. Taxpayers’ money by the way that quite absurdly through the massive bonus schemes that the banking fraternity carries on with to reward itself in spite of the economic health of the country is nothing short of a scandalous recipe for rewarding failure, rampant greed and criminality.

But like dutiful children inescapably saddled with the controlling disposition of compulsively domineering parents that exploit the bogeyman of fear to terrorize their progeny and keep them firmly in control the British public and its western equivalent are equally the intentional quarry of the unscrupulous machinations of government agencies and think tanks covertly working in partnership with the governments that we elect to similarly manipulate how we think and react, especially to those situations they devise or otherwise have an immense interest in themselves. And they do this while at the same time creating an enormously advantageous but all the same a fictional world that is used to subvert the actual occurrences of the real one and in its place is then paraded as though it was, depriving in the process, through this concerted and duplicitous exercise of influence and control, the vast majority of the public from ever knowing the truth of what our governments and their official agencies are really up to; how they perfidiously betray the trust that the general public confidently but somewhat naively puts in them; and callously refuses that same body of men and women the possibility to become truly sentient, independent thinking and discerning individuals able to make objective and sensible assessments relative to their own lives based on reliable information, rational deductions, sound judgement and most importantly facts.

Facts that the political and even the judicial authorities on both sides of the Atlantic would prefer to stay out of the public domain by keeping them secret, and as such do everything in their power, including breaking the law when it either proves awkward or too problematic to legitimately evade or change, to guarantee that is the case. And all the talk by these people and their feigned concern about protecting and preserving our national security interests is just a load of disingenuous hogwash and amounts to nothing more on their part than an utterly selfish shameless and self-indulgent determination characterized in a culture of inveterate wrongdoing by a chronic mania for secrecy to permanently hide from the public the accumulated criminal transgressions, lies, privately expressed disdain for the public itself and its wellbeing, excessive greed, financial irregularities, culpable dishonesty, personal malfeasance, political chicaneries and even the sordid infidelities of those who rule us and their privileged allies among the rich and powerful.

Having become an adult I still vividly remember from my Sunday school days as a child our classes being exhorted by our popular parish priest not to metaphorically conduct our lives ever as though they were whitened sepulchres on the outside but inside full of dead men’s bones; a reference that was all too clear bearing in mind the deeply but pragmatically closely integrated religious community that we all belonged to, where secrets would be most difficult to maintain for long anyway and hypocrisy was not only universally frowned upon but also mercilessly but all the same good-humouredly lampooned. I’ve mentioned this because it’s exactly how I feel about those who comprise the so-called establishment elites that control our country, de facto our lives, and egotistically believe they have an omnipotent right to do so; sentiments shared by their counterparts in Europe, North America and the white Caucasian satellites globally, for they are indeed in every respect of their lives and actions whitened sepulchres with dead men’s bones deeply entombed inside of them.

A very chilling and classic example of this is the United States’ intimate relationship with the largely Bantu-Saudi, Wahabi and salafist constituent al-Qaida army in its dealings with the US that is physically similar in structure but obviously not in its moral dimensions or applications to the role played by the Switzers at the Vatican or the Ghurkhas in the British Army, outsiders in other words with a pledged loyalty to their respective creator and manager. And the United States not only created al-Qaida, it has managed it all along and still does so. Used by the US against the Soviets in Afghanistan the United States has since deployed al-Qaida as far afield as Chechnya, Kosovo, Afghanistan once again, Iraq, Sudan, Somalia and East Africa generally, the Caucasus, Libya, Nigeria, inside the United States itself, notoriously so in the 9/11 attack in New York, and of course currently in Syria.

Effectively al-Qaida is a covert official arm of the United States’ Administration that’s directly answerable only to it and controlled solely by means of executive power, and in its operations is as indivisible a US agency as the CIA is with the principal differences that the CIA is duly constituted through the US’s political, Congress for example, and judicial systems, is publicly known about and universally acknowledged at home and abroad as a crucial and integral part of the United States’ intelligence services which is part of its remit, and officially at any rate is supposedly subject to political and constitutional oversight. This most definitely is not the case with al-Qaida however, which although similarly steeped in the same black arts as the CIA and with carte blanche to carry out its murderous global atrocities at the behest of the United States is never the less free from all democratic scrutiny, as it exits in that nice and rather comfortable environment that US politicians and TV talking heads, otherwise known as so-called pundits, pompously and conceitedly refer to as official deniability.

And that’s precisely what it is, for while the United States disingenuously continues to publicly fulminate about al-Qaida being a terrorist organization, which by the way it evidently is but it’s the same United States that specifically created it as such, ranks it as Public Enemy No.1 and vows to destroy it whatever it takes to accomplish this, this tsunami of hot air emanating from Washington is nothing more than insidious propaganda of the worst kind, since al-Qaida serves two key roles for the United States which that country has no intention of ever dismantling. For on the one hand al-Qaida is a major plank in the United States’ Zionist-directed foreign policy, if indeed one can dare dignify it with such a label, of global hegemonic control particularly in the Middle East and Asia and the geo-political consequences associated with this. While on the other hand the United States and al-Qaida connivingly but oh so ingeniously play the good cop, bad cop routine where al-Qaida assumes the role of bad cop and cheerfully allows itself to be viciously maligned by the US as a bloodthirsty, terroristic beast and the Devil incarnate.

It’s a ploy and a highly successful one too that terrorizes the vast majority of the US public into a state of perpetual fear bordering on mass hysteria and whereby the US Administration can do whatever it likes with its citizens, and unhesitatingly does so, to limit their constitutional rights and freedoms all the better to implement its own hidden and illiberal agenda effectively turning the country into an intolerant, fascist, police state far removed from what the Founding Fathers envisaged that it would be.

This is not a mindset however that’s peculiar to the United States’ authorities even though they and their country are in the driving seat where this kind of attitude is concerned but can also be found all over Europe most notably in the UK, which is the most paranoid, security-fixated and CCTV intrusive county in the world with our lawmakers who unreservedly support these kinds of oppressive and undemocratic measures as a means of governing us being themselves among the worst corrupt offenders and criminally disposed individuals breathing God’s wholesome air that one could find anywhere. Therefore, the Communications Data Bill and the Enterprise and Regulatory one going through parliament don’t surprise me in the least, far less so would the prospect of them becoming law. Clearly these people have a great deal to hide and as such will do their damndest to protect their heinous crimes.

Consequently, while reprehensible war criminals like Tony Blair, Donald Rumsfeld, Madeleine Albright, Dick Cheney and the perniciously odious and obsequious, political and judicial goons in Sweden for example walk free and are amply rewarded for their calculated and multifaceted crimes against humanity, those brave individuals like Julian Assange and other whistleblowers who’re prepared at great risk to life and limb to put their heads above the parapet and expose these wrongdoings must be vilified and viciously made examples of. For let’s not kid ourselves these raft of actual and proposed legislations deceitfully marketed as indispensable measures to protect ordinary members of the public aren’t anything of the sort and are basically a criminal’s charter to protect the criminality of the rich and shameless and on a personal level I shan’t ever accept this no matter how many laws you and your parliamentary racketeers pass on the subject David Cameron. And you don’t have to monitor my communications to find that out, since I’m not afraid to openly tell the lot of you so.

In addition with Syria your very latest target and presently under the cosh of the United States, Britain and France’s hegemonic designs in the Middle East and this trio of countries professed Christian ones in the bargain, I’d like to draw the attention of their leadership to Saul’s biblical journey to Damascus equally with murder and mayhem also in mind. He commendably though underwent a spiritual conversion we’re told on the road to Damascus and the rest as we say is history. Realistically, I don’t expect a spiritual or any other conversion from those of you who call yourselves Christian and as far as your savage Arab puppets are concerned it’s my definite opinion they’re well beyond redemption of any kind, but miracles do happen as the subsequent life of Saint Paul, erstwhile Saul, testifies.

Happy birthday USA on this 4th July 2012; an important date that we both share as it’s also my birthday, but regrettably that’s all that we have in common with each other.
